This is from a list of components of a sliding fall protection device (used with a lifeline for working at height):

"-Balancín interior dentado: se comprobará que bascula correctamente."

There's also a 'Rueda dentada interior'.

Hi Ian and Christine Thanks for your help. Yes, I have opted for fall arrest device rather than fall protection device. Still unsure about the balancín, I've asked the client. Thanks again.

You might also like to try "fall arrest" instead of "fall protection". May help you with Google searches.
