Discussion

Sergio Campo Jan 18, 2013:
Just a guess, so I won't write it down as an answer, but with the context given, RC might well refer to a type of Dramix steel fibers, which are used for concrete reinforcing. Dramix makes these in two types: round collated (RC) and round loose (RL). I wouldn't be too surprised to see someone using just "RC" (in a context like this) to refer to the first type of these fibers (which are often used in concrete slabs and flooring).

RC of steel

Not totally sure about this, especially as you haven't given a lot of context. However, I have discovered that "RC" stands for "real consumption" as opposed to "AC" = "apparent consumption", and that the Spanish may use the English acronym.

Apparent consumption The mathematical sum of production plus imports minus exports. The difference between 'apparent' consumption and 'real' consumption is that the latter definition also recognises changes in stock levels. The phrase 'apparent consumption' is often used interchangeably with 'apparent domestic consumption' (abbreviated ADC)
