Hi everyone! I'm translating an artist's statement and this verb 'se recrea' crops up twice. Any suggestions would be welcome because I'm having troubling discerning whether it is in the sense of 'recreate' or 'recreational'. Thanks for your help!
La obra de Noemí Martin ***se recrea en*** espacios imaginarios donde como arquitectura sólo existe la perspectiva , y donde sus inconfundibles ocres, grises y amarillos lo bañan todo, creando un mundo imaginario pero en el que se reflejan infinidad de realidades, y que como en un espejo nos podemos ver reflejados en lo mas íntimo de nuestros sentimientos.
A veces parece que hemos entrado en el “cementerio de libros olvidados “ del escritor Carlos Ruiz Zafón , que se inspira en la misma Barcelona que Noemí Martin, y que ambos ***se recrean en*** las mismas atmósferas de tiempos ya pasados que hablan de nuestros miedos y esperanzas .

recrear = to produce joy, a second meaning of recrear. But here, wer have to translate the passive form "SE recreant." Hence my translation that is also a passive form.
