Spanish term

puntos de conexión

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Law: Taxation & Customs tax treaties
Hi, this is from a text explaining international double taxation and treaties to avoid it. I've given three examples (from separate parts of the text) of use of 'puntos de conexión', the first of which is probably the best, as it explains what is meant. Also, if any further context is needed, the following Wikipedia page gives examples of the concept https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convenio_Económico

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give identifying the appropriate English term!

//
//

connecting factors

Strange - these were called connecting factors when I started studying contract and PIL - private international law all of 45 years ago.

Maybe the terminology has changed since then...

Example sentence:

There are five connection factors for those individuals who have been resident in the UK during the previous three tax years: a) Family tie b) Accommodation tie.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "thanks, it might be older, but I think it is a more accurate expression than the slightly vague 'connection points'"

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 of the links are inaccessible, they appear to require subscription. I think the other answer seems a bit more precise, and after some searches it appears to be well used.
