Spanish term

administrador solidario

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
Im am translating a legal text and the expression " administrator solidario" appears several times.

A company with multiple shareholders want to constitute a new company and one of the shareholders claims to be appointed the sole administrator.

What is the exact equivalence in English?

Thanks in advance

neutral philgoddard : It means alone or with other directors.

agree Álvaro Espantaleón Moreno : Solidario doesn't mean "alone or with". It means he can act alone. In Spanish: puede obligar a la empresa frente a terceros por sí solo. That is, he doesn't need the other directors at all. That's precisely the point: to act alone.

Gracias Gabriela.
neutral philgoddard : In my opinion, the wrong answer was chosen the last time this question was asked. As Rebecca Jowers pointed out in her excellent contribution, it means "joint and several director".

It is a reference only and you have based your "neutral" solely on the ProZ link I provided. I further added a second link which states "Director". In any event, what is important is the "joint and several" which I have! It is meant to guide the Asker!
