suspended/hung/dropped ceilings

I know them as suspended or hung ceilings, but there seems to be a number of terms for them:

A dropped ceiling is a secondary ceiling, hung below the main (structural) ceiling. It may also be referred to as a drop ceiling, T-bar ceiling, false ceiling, suspended ceiling, grid ceiling, drop in ceiling, drop out ceiling, or ceiling tiles and is a staple of modern construction and architecture in both residential and commercial applications.

Thanks, Neil. Where I am, it's called a "plafón".
agree James A. Walsh : I've heard them called some of the options you posted, but I'm most familiar with suspended.

Thanks, James, yes, "hung" or "suspended" for me too, must be a UK thing.
agree Neil Ashby : I'm jumping on the "suspended" bandwagon... ;@)

ceilings

I have always transalted this phrase simply as "celings" and I just confirmed it in Word Reference, too.
