Both men in the cramped sedan looked like Freddie's carbon copies plus a bunch of steroids. Her brothers worked for their physiques; men like this cut corners. Their tattoos stretched across their bulging biceps and their faces seemed pinched and red in the shadows of the sedan.
“Hey doll,” said one of the men, winking at her.
“Who are you?” she asked, firmly.
The man in the driver seat chuckled. “Just visiting a friend.”
“Yeah?” said Holly. “Your friend live here?” she nodded to her building.
“Yeah,” said the driver.
“Yeah,” added the second goon a bit later.
Holly's eyes narrowed even more. “Yeah, which unit? I know most the people who live there.”
Both men shared a look with each other, then glanced back to her, their muscles seemingly rippling of their own accord. Or, more likely, spasming from the sheer amount of stupid they helped support.
“Third floor,” the driver said. “Good friend of ours.”
“Yeah,” chorused goon number two. “Good friend.”
