A couple of hundred metres back from the castillo there’s an information board giving details of the footpath ahead, the Sendero La Molata. It’s two kilometres and an hour to Cala del Cuervo, Raven’s Cove. There it is again, that iconic bird. The path veers left along the foot of an obvious slope then climbs and narrows as it passes high above the sea. Suddenly the ground falls away and, like some kind of alien plantation, a long narrow regimented campsite appears below alongside the Rambla del Cuervo, the Watercourse of the Raven. This is Camping Nautico La Caleta. ‘Snowbirds’, as North Americans would say, have come here for the winter from northern Europe. Twenty or so campervans have staked out their territory on the pitches and under the awnings.
