@phil I don't understand why you keep carping about me not providing Spanish references. The translation is into English, so surely the references posted should be in the target language, to back up my proposal with examples of usage? I mean, the Spanish is there already.

oven operator

As Phil noted in his other comment, "furnace" would be correct in the case of molten metal (casting furnace or similar), but I think a paint oven is more likely in this case. You should probably check this against your context.

NB: As Phil and Daniel have noted, it could also be an oven operator rather than a furnace, for example in the case of spray-painting. We really need to know more about what the person's job involves.
Example sentence:

A furnace operator records time and production data, adjusts thermostats, and observes a pyrometer to maintain the temperature

neutral philgoddard : I'm not sure about this, and you haven't given any Spanish references. Couldn't it be an oven, perhaps for spraying? Doesn't a furnace imply molten metal?

Oh, ye of little faith.... :)
agree Robert Carter : A furnace seems fairly likely. There was definitely one in at least one famous car factory in Mexico (I have relatives with some terrible stories from working there in the 80s, including a spilt crucible!)
