Αν και πιο συνηθισμένο είναι το «εν είδει συνέχειας», αλλά με ενθαρρύνει η «συνέχιση» στον Περί Εταιρειών Νόμο της Κύπρου:
Αλλοδαπή εταιρεία, της οποίας το συστατικό έγγραφο προβλέπει τη δυνατότητα συνέχισης της υπό το νομικό καθεστώς άλλης εγκεκριμένης χώρας ή δικαιοδοσίας, δύναται να ζητήσει από τον Έφορο, να εγγραφεί ως συνεχίζουσα στη Δημοκρατία δυνάμει των διατάξεων του παρόντος Νόμου.

When a company undergoes a continuation, it essentially migrates or re-registers itself in a different jurisdiction. The company would apply to the Registrar of Companies in the new jurisdiction and request to be registered as a body corporate limited by shares under the laws of that particular jurisdiction. By doing so, the company ensures that it can operate and be governed by the laws of the new jurisdiction, potentially gaining certain advantages or benefits associated with that jurisdiction.
