Danish term

indrapportering

Danish to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software
Same here with indrapportering -- something more specific than simply "reporting." In the IT context.

Discussion

Richard Green May 29, 2013:
I think "input" then. I think you're right Charles, it does look like "input" in this context.
Charlesp (asker) May 29, 2013:
Yes, I agree. More context would be helpful Here is the sentence: "Den første indrapportering i systemet danner automatisk en skabelon til efterfølgende brug."
Richard Green May 29, 2013:
I agree! Yes, more context would be useful, Charles. I have made an entry, but it is entirely context dependent.
Pernille Kienle May 29, 2013:

reporting OR input (context dependent)

It depends entirely on your context.

In an IT setting it can mean either pure reporting, or also "input", of data for example.

Note from asker:
Thanks Richard. Yes, it looks like "input" was what was meant.

feeding - or - entering of data

I don't think you 'report' data into a computer in English, rather, you enter or feed data into the computer in order to generate a report based on the data.
