I know that 'kaas' means marina/harbour.
But iskaaser are found in the antarctic in areas where no marina or man-made harbour exists.
The ship captain speaks of iskaaser out on the sea, and they are moving. Always mentioned with isfjeld/icebergs.
I wonder if he means ice floes?

Gyldendals translates with ice floe. There's a spelling error 'isskosser'
