square cubit

This is an old Biblical word, which also has a "long" version which almost equals 24 inches.
Example sentence:

A cubit is a unit of linear measure, from the elbow to the tip of the longest finger of a man. This unit is commonly converted to 0.46 meters or 18 inches, although that varies with height of the man doing the measurement.

There is also a “long” cubit that is longer than a regular cubit by a handbreadth. (Ezekiel 43:13)

I think it would be understood, although people are somewhat vague as to how long a cubit actually is.

The word is reasonably well known, because it comes in the popular biblical story of Noah's ark, where Noah was given the measurements quite precisely in cubits. It was a subject in the mediaeval Mystery plays, and at least one more modern version.

And there have been discussions ever since about the feasibility, given the technology of the supposed era, whether the vessel would float and plenty more...
