Danish term

gård

The text refers to a development in Berlings Gård in Copenhagen. I'm not sure how to translate gård in this context.

courtyard

I don't know the partucular area, but I often use 'courtyard' for a 'gård' of this type.

yard

You kind of have to see a picture of it to know if it's most properly a courtyard (surrounded on all sides by elements of one or more buildings, usually with little or no greenery), a yard (usually greenery, not all sides closed off by buildings, possibel presence of a fence or wall), a garden (a yard with flowers or vegetables), etc. I think the most neutral or safest translation is probably "yard."
