Mineral deposits (Bauxite)
The Minerals Department of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) reports that there are 132 Mt of proven reserves ( of Bauxite ) and a billion tonnes of probable reserves, with an average grade of 40% Al2O3, in the northern part of the SDI zone
Al2o3 is أكسيد الألومنيوم / الألومينا
What does the 'grade' here measure exactly? Is it the percentage of Alumina in the metal deposit, the quality, or something else? How is it used in Arabic ?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I think "grade" here means the ratio/percentage/ amount of Al2o3 in the reserves of Bauxite.

Comment: "Thanks for thinking with me.
I have found that درجة and رتبة are also used but I will go with نسبة الفلز"
