English term

Administration & Finance Manager

English Bus/Financial Finance (general) in a CV
Hello,

I'm translating a C.V. for an Administration & Finance Manager.

Is this the same as a C.F.O.? Which is the preferred term for US and UK English respectively?

Can I use both terms interchangeably in the C.V.? I ask because occasionally I need to use an abbreviation.

Thanks for your help!

The CFO is normally the highest Finance position in the company.

Administration and Finance Manager normally reports to a CFO or even one level below that.

In larger organisations, with a group of companies, you have Group CFO who would have a number of CFOs reporting to him. Group CFO and CFO role is more of a strategic role and has the overall responsibility for the finance function of an organisation. Administration and Finance Manager is more of a day to day management of the administrative and financial activities.

In smaller organisations, CFO may also have responsibility for HR and IT.
