Could you please provide me with the synonyms for "post"?
Is it the same as "pin" or "stake"?

XXX Total Knee Systems include femoral, patellar, tibial tray, tibial bearing insert and bone augmentation components which are designed to be used together to achieve total reconstructive replacement of the knee joint. Generally, these components are available in a variety of fixation surface alternatives including MicroStructured® porous or arc-deposited non-porous coating, waffled pattern and grit blasted. MicroStructured® and waffled fixation surfaces are not applied to the stems, keels or fixation posts of the components.MicroStructured® and waffled fixation surfaces are not applied to the stems, keels or fixation posts of the components. All components are intended for cemented fixation and are to be implanted on the prepared distal femur, proximal tibial or posterior patella, as appropriate.

The resurfacing applications have fixation stakes, so they can be installed into bones.
