SSE _ distributes specialized sorting machinery to the global metal recycling market. Today, more than 90 Metal,,X” sorting systems have been distributed to countries in Europe, North America and Asia. The SSE Metal,,X” technology allows dry and automatic sorting of material streams in the size fractions from 1-120 mm. It functions on the basis of opto-electronic and electromagnetic sensor techniques and is applied in many fields of metal recycling, including:
• recovery or sorting of non-ferrous metals in automobile recycling ***ECS-waste***, SLF processing, heavy metal sorting),
• electronics recycling (also sorting of monitor glass),
• wood recycling,
• recovery of metals from incineration slag
• recovery of stainless steel from steel works slag

I had this in a previous translation. It could well be the same abbreviation here, especially as it is non-ferrous metals. See the ref. for more details.
