Installation

French to English Medical Medical (general)
This is taken from a patient's hospitalisation report. They were hospitalised with chest pain following a car crash and were treated for pain and given a brace. This part of the report is under a list of roles/tasks carried out by the staff caring for the patient:

"ROLE PROPRE
Respiration: Installation en position demi-assise
Surveillance: Voies veineuses
Mobilisation: Lever interdit
Hygiène et confort: Aide totale ou partielle à la toilette
Alimentation: Installation de la personne
Soins relationnels: Ecoute active / Relation d'aide patient"

Does it just mean that the patient (I'm assuming this is what "personne" means) was able to feed themselves?

I will repost!

Gosh I'm so sorry I've just realised what I've done, it slipped my mind that the word appeared twice here. For clarity, I mean "installation de la personne" - sorry about that!

The word appears twice in your text, and I think it will need to be translated differently each time. 'Installed' would do for the first. You could translate the second in many different ways - perhaps something like 'set up dietary regime'.
