Italian to English Medical Medical (general) case reports - renal and cardiac insufficiency

In a case report:
"Acugia emorragica su probabile sanginamento a livello diverticolare."
I have to say that I'm translating from a scanned fax and the printing is not super clear - it may be that acugia is acuzia but I can't find either word on Google or anywhere else. Can anyone have a guess? Many thanks
