prize draw. i imagine the "limite" is the deadline, but by "assegnazione" do they mean "taking part"? it can hardly be the deadline for hte giving out of prizes, can it?

Then if you have a close working relationship with the client suggest they introduce the term "tempo limite"or "età limite" into the Italian or whatever, or just do a literal ;-)

Strange that I didn't see your note of 26 Jan when I asked my question of 27 Jan. Given the "fine periodo" then Ivana's answer seems most plausible, but if we and our native speaker Italian colleagues expert technical writers can't understand the rules!

Could it mean that there is a deadline to "collect" the prizes? For instance the raffle takes place on February 20th, and the deadline to collect the prizes is one week later, February 27th....? Just an idea...

hi ML. the full sentence is: "Fine periodo e limite per partecipare all'assegnazione dei premi". by "fine periodo" they mean that the prizes take place on a periodical basis and periods begin and end on certain dates.

okay, so the Italian says for collecting/being awarded prizes, but this translated into "claiming" in English.
