Deferir un requerimento does mean to grant the request, but when a Visa card is "granted" ... well, that is not how it is said in the USA. The card and the credit that goes with it (if any) are ApproveD, and so can be an individual charge to it, though for charges the customary term is authorized. This can be reasonably verified by simple "statistical googling".
