1. POSITION
The Company agrees to appoint the Employee as [Position] based in [Location].
The Supreme Job Grade for this position is Grade [Number] (WORD).
The Employee must diligently perform the duties and responsibilities that the Employee’s Manager/Director reasonably assigns to the Employee. The Company may vary these duties and responsibilities at any time. The Company may instruct the Employee to perform work for any other member of the Group.
The Employee must devote all of the Employee’s working time, attention and ability to the business of the Company or any other member of the Group.
The term “Contract” means this letter, all Exhibits attached to this letter, and all amendments.
“Group” means:
1. the Company;
2. any related company of the Company;
3. any entity that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with, the Company; and
4. any other entity that is connected with the Company or any other member of the Group by a common interest in an economic enterprise, for example, a partner, a joint venture or another member of a joint venture.
2. PROBATIONARY PERIOD
This offer is subject to a probationary period of 3 months. During the probationary period, the employment may be terminated by either party giving 7 days notice in writing to the other, or in the case of the Company, by payment in lieu of notice or a combination of notice and payment in lieu of notice.
3. DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT
The duration of employment shall be for 12 months.
4. REMUNERATION
The total employment remuneration will consist of the Basic Salary, In-Country Allowance, Overtime, Bonus and Benefits.
Basic Salary
The Employee will be paid at the rate of USD [Amount] (WORDS) per hour. The Basic Salary for the Employee is based on a 40 hour work week. The total monthly base salary will be USD [Amount] (WORDS).
In-Country Allowance
In addition to the Basic Salary, the Employee will receive an In-Country Allowance of 50% of his/her Basic Salary, which is not applied to Overtime hours worked. The In-Country Allowance for the Employee is USD [Amount] (WORDS) per month. The In-Country Allowance is only applicable whilst the employee is working in operations and excludes periods of vacation and sick leave.
Monthly Basic Salary and In-Country Allowance payments will be made by bank transfer into the Employee’s nominated bank account at monthly intervals by the 3rd day of the following month.
Overtime
The Employee will be paid at the rate of USD [Amount] (WORDS) per hour for any hours worked over 40 in a week but should not exceed a total of 84 hours per week. Overtime payments for one month will be made by bank transfer into the Employee’s nominated bank account in accordance with payments for the next month’s Basic Salary.

The HeartWare LVAD System includes the following major components:
1. Pump (LVAD)
2. Controller
3. External Power – Battery, AC Adapter, DC Adapter
4. Battery Charger
2.1 Pump (LVAD)
The Pump (LVAD) is small and has one moving part, called an impeller (Figure 1). As the impeller spins it moves blood from the heart to the aorta, which provides blood to the body. The amount of blood flowing through your Pump depends on the speed of the impeller and your blood pressure. The Driveline passes through your skin and connects the Pump to the Controller.

2.2 Controller
The Controller (Figure 2) controls how your Pump works and makes sure that it is working correctly. The Controller is connected to your Driveline and must have two power supplies (Batteries, AC Adapter or DC Adapter) connected. The display on the Controller gives information about pump performance that includes the blood flow through the pump (L/min), impeller speed (rpm), and the amount of power consumed (watts). The Controller also warns you if there is a problem with your Pump, or the power supply connected to your Controller.

** Thousands urge Zardari to save young girl jailed for blasphemy in Pakistan**
Misrek Masih, father of Rimsha, a young girl with mental disabilities who gained international attention when she was jailed for blasphemy last week, has launched a campaign to save his daughter.
Global campaigning organisation Avaaz has supported Masih’s campaign, and with just two days before the hearing set for Saturday, thousands of people have added their name to the campaign calling on President Zardari to save Rimsha.

Misrek Masih said: “My young daughter has a mental disability and often isn’t in control of her actions, and we are now afraid for her life. I’m asking President Asif Ali Zardari, who has called for further attention into my daughter’s case to save her life and protect our family. We know that the world is watching and now people from all over the world are joining our call to have Rimsha sent home to her family.”
Following a medical examination to assess Rimsha’s condition, her case was referred to Juvenile Court for a judgement on Tuesday 28th and her family is now waiting to know whether she will be released on bail on Saturday September 1st.
Luis Morago, Campaign Director of Avaaz said: “Rimsha should be at home with her family being cared for, not in jail facing mob justice. How can a young girl with learning difficulties find herself facing a death sentence? People all over the world are standing with Rimsha and her father to urge the authorities to save her.”
Pakistan’s anti-blasphemy laws carry the death sentence and Misrek Masih and his family are currently in hiding following the imprisonment of their daughter. She was threatened by a mob in her community with being burnt alive after being accused of desecrating the Koran. Avaaz is asking for the authorities to reduce animosity and end mob violence towards religious minorities in Pakistan and for President Zardari to use his pardon should the courts find her guilty and take measures to protect the family.

رمشا کی حالت کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے ایک طبی معائنہ کے بعد، اس کے کیس کو بروز منگل 28 کو بچوں کی عدالت میں بھجوا دیا گیا اور اب اس کا خاندان یہ جاننے کے لیے منتظر ہے کہ اسے 1 ستمبر کو ضمانت پر رہائی دی جاتی ہے یا نہیں۔

Source text - English The wind was blowing a beautiful breeze outside in the summer and all round there was a picture of buzz and happiness, the noise and humdrum of nature, the delightful buzzing of bees, the singing of birds, the wailing of ice cream van sirens and the voices of all sorts of different human beings and their delightful faces beaming in the summer sunshine. I sat in one of the open terraces of a café sipping away at my frappucino and taking in the ambience of all that was around me. On one side I could hear the voice of a very small child wailing out “mama.. papa” as he had fallen over and the parents put everything down to attend to this poor child, and yet only yards away I could see a totally different picture, as I overheard a couple upset about not being able to have a child….Minutes later I heard some teenagers abusing a poor gentle lady out on a walk, she ignored their taunts and continued her walk on what seemed a journey of a lifetime. As I settled up my bill for me drink, I witnessed further some kids barely above school leaving age arguing frantically with their parents, using vulgar language, being loud, and being a total embarrassment for their parents to be in that situation at that time. What had seemed like a peaceful and joyful afternoon turned into a very sour bitter aftertaste and this was not just because of the taste of the coffee.
And then it dawned on me, I was not out there just for a peaceful afternoon of refreshment enjoyment and putting my feet up…. No... I had come out with a purpose just I had done for the last 2 years in various locations throughout the world.. I had been on a fact finding mission with every bit of research I had been conducting for several years now. I had been researching how today’s youth and offspring had changed in their outlook and their respect for their parents. It was not long ago that I was a child, and I remembered how I depended on everything from my parents such as comfort, love, food, shelter, warmth, care, cleanliness, life itself – the list could go on endlessly, Where had the time gone, I stood opposite a mirror and saw that time had transformed me into an adult where I could proudly stand on my own two feet without help from anyone, and yet somewhere in that arrogance it dawned on me that the lessons of life were like a university degree course which my parents had so tirelessly and meticulously taught me repeatedly until I passed to their standards and could do it on my own confidently. I loved my parents beyond expectation, and I thought everyone else did also, and yet week after week my research showed a horrible side to parenthood that was continuously passing past me with vengeance.
Translation - Urdu موسم گرما میں باہر انتہا ئی خوبصورت باد صبا چل رہی تھی اور چاروں طرف گویا خوشی ومسرت کا سماں تھا آوازاورفطرت کی سرگوشیاں، شہد کی مکھیوں کی پرمسرت بھنبھناہٹ، پرندوں کی چہکار، آئس کریم وین کے سائرن کی پکار، اور بہت سے لوگوں کی ہر طرح کی ملی جلی آوازیں، اور موسم گرما کی دھوپ میں ان کے دمکتے چہرے۔ میں ایک کیفے کی کشادہ راہدری میں بیٹھا اپنی فراپےچینو کافی کی چسکیوں کے ساتھ گرد و پیش کے ماحول کا مزہ لے رہا تھا۔ ایک جانب سے میں نے ایک بہت چھوٹے بچے کی روتی ہوئی آواز سنی۔" ماما۔۔۔ پاپا ۔۔" چونکہ بچہ گر گیا تھا اس لئے والدین ساری چیزیں نیچے چھوڑ کر بچے پر توجہ دینے میں لگ گئے۔ اور اس کے چند گز دور ہی میں اس کے بالکل برعکس منظر دیکھ سکتا تھا۔ جب میرے کانوں میں ایک جوڑے کی آوازیں پڑیں جو بچہ ہونے کے قابل نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے پریشان تھے۔۔۔۔۔۔منٹوں بعد میں نے کچھ نوعمر لڑکوں کوسیرکرنے والی ایک بیچاری شریف خاتون کوگالیاں دیتے ہوئے سنا۔ خاتون نےان کی دشنام طرازی کو نظر انداز کرتے ہوئے اپنی سیر جاری رکھی ،جو شاید ساری زندگی پرمحیط مسافت بن گئی تھی۔ جیسے ہی میں نے کافی بل کی ادائیگی کی میں نےمزید کچھ بچوں کو اپنے والدین سے حد درجہ بد تمیزی کے ساتھ بحث کرتے، انتہائی غیر مہذب زبان استعمال کرتے، چلاتے اور اس صورتحال میں اپنے والدین کیلئےانتہائی شرم کا باعث بنتے ہوئے دیکھا جو بمشکل ابھی سکول چھوڑنے کی عمر کے تھے۔ چنانچہ جودوپہر انتہائی پرسکون اور پرمسرت محسوس ہو رہی تھی۔ وہ گلے میں ایک مابعد کڑواہٹ بن کر اترنے لگی اور یقیناً اس کڑواہٹ کی وجہ کافی کا ذائقہ ہر گز نہ تھا۔
اور تب مجھ پر اچانک یہ عقدہ کھلا کہ میں وہاں محض تھکان دور کرنیوالی، پرسکون دوپہر سے لطف اندوز ہونے اور پائوں پسارنے کے لیے نہیں آیا تھا۔۔۔۔۔۔نہیں ۔۔۔۔۔ بلکہ میں وہاں ایک خاص مقصد کیلیے موجود تھا۔ جیسا کہ میں پہلے ہی پچھلے دو سالوں سے دنیا کے مختلف مقامات پر کر رہا تھا۔۔ میں تمام تر تحقیق کے ساتھ حد، جو کءی سالوں سے کر رہا تھا، درحقیقت ایک " تلاش حقیت" کے مشن پر تھا۔ میں تحقیق کررہا تھا کہ آج کے نوجوان اور بچے کس طرح اپنے نظریات اور والدین کی عزت کرنے کے حوالے سے بدل چکے ہیں۔ یہ کوئی زیادہ پرانی بات نہیں جب میں ایک بچہ تھا۔ مجھے یاد ہے میں کس طرح اپنی ہر چیز، ہر ضرورت مثلاً آرام، شفقت و محبت، کھانا، گرمجوشی، دیکھ بھال، صفائی،اوراپنی زندگی تک کیلیے والدین پر انحصار کرتا تھا – یہ فہرست شاید کہیں ختم نہ ہو، وہ وقت کہاں گیا، میں ایک شیشے کے سامنے کھڑا ہو گیا اور دیکھا کہ وقت نے مجھے ایک بڑے آدمی میں تبدیل دیا ہے جہاں میں اب فخر کے ساتھ اپنے دونوں قدموں پربغیر کسی کی مدد کے کھڑا ہو سکتا ہوں۔ اسی احساس تفاخر میں مجھ پر یہ بھی افشاں ہوا کہ زندگی کے اسباق کسی یونیورسٹی کی ڈگری کورس کی مانند تھے جو میرے والدین نےانتہائی جانفشانی اور باریک بینی سے مجھے سکھائے تھے جب تک کہ میں ان کے معیار کو عبور نہ کرلیا اورخود اعتماد کے ساتھ خود کرنے کے قابل نہ ہو گیا۔ میں اپنے والدین سے توقعات سے بڑھ کر محبت کی، اور میں سوچتا تھا شاید سبھی ایسا کرتے ہیں۔ تاہم کئی ہفتوں کے بعد میری تحقیق نے والدیت کی طرف خوفناک پہلو دکھایا اور جو کہ مسلسل مجھ سمیت مکافات کے ساتھ تیزی سے ماضی میں ڈھل رہا تھا۔
