Transferul de tehnologie constă în împărtăşirea de abilităţi, cunoştinţe, tehnologii de către entităţi străine în beneficiul unor instituţii, întreprinderi şi organizaţii din Romania, pentru a se asigura că progresele ştiinţifice şi tehnologice pot fi dezvoltate şi exploatate în continuare de către beneficiarii români.
