PROLOGUE
There’s a big mirror in the lift in my building. Some days ago, someone stamped a kiss with lipstick and a mark was left. When I saw it, my first reaction was negative, because I’m contaminated with “normalcy”. But soon I realized that if you know how to look at yourself in the mirror someone kisses you, then I smiled and I thought “shame, won’t last long here”. But something unexpected happened. The next day, no one had removed it, not even the cleaning lady. Somehow, even if we’re domesticated, we all possess a sixth sense for beauty, everyone is left immobilized before her, nobody wanted to be the first in erasing her, and so the kiss remained.

Bio
Born in Germany, near Frankfurt am Main, where I spent my first seven years. I grew up and went to school in Portugal, but my passion for languages, especially for German made me follow my studies in this direction. After finishing my degree in German and English to become a language teacher I taught German, English and Portuguese as foreign languages in Portugal and Germany for about 24 years. In 2005 I completed a master’s degree in German and Portuguese Studies (Minho Univ., Braga, PT) and in 2015 a master’s degree on Multilingual Communication and Translation. Since 2013 I have been working as a freelance translator. Last September I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to translation (DE/EN>PT, my mother language) and language courses as a freelancer. I love translating books or articles related to self-knowledge, self-development, psychology, psychotherapy and family constellations. I have already translated 5 books on these topics. But I also have translation experience in other areas as tourism, pedagogy, literature, theatre, copywriting and marketing, law, instructions, contracts, certifications, administrative documents and letters and even some technical areas.
