Compassion Fatigue (CF) also known as empathic strain, is the emotional and physical exhaustion that can occur when individuals consistently care for and empathize with others who are experiencing suffering or trauma. It often affects professionals in helping roles, such as nurses, therapists, or social workers. Compassion fatigue is characterized by feelings of burnout, decreased empathy, irritability, and a reduced ability to provide compassionate care. It can result from long-term exposure to the suffering of others without adequate self-care and support.
الإرهاق من التعاطف: ويُعرف أيضاً باسم الإجهاد العاطفي، وهو الإرهاق الجسدي والعاطفي الذي يمكن أن يحدث عندما يهتم الأفراد بآخرين يعانون من ألم أو صدمة ويتعاطفون معهم باستمرار. يؤثر الإرهاق من التعاطف غالباً على المتخصصين الذين يقومون بأدوار المساعدة كالممرضين أو المعالجين النفسيين أو العاملين الاجتماعيين. ويتسم بمشاعر الإنهاك النفسي و قلة التعاطف وسرعة الانفعال وانخفاض القدرة على تقديم الرعاية الرحيمة. يمكن أن يحدث نتيجة التعرض طويل الأمد لمعاناة الآخرين دون رعاية ذاتية ودعم مناسبين.

**** looks at the stressors within and outside of the organisation.
We do not only look at stress and trauma from a psychological point of view

Central Stress Factors within the Organisation
In a relatively young organisation like ****, many responsibilities lay with the directors. Some staff have little work experience.
NGOs can only pay low wages, so the experienced staff members go elsewhere for better pay.
Developing staff capacity is a core and time-consuming process.
Emma teams work in five different locations in different cities of the region,
in addition mobile teams reach out to their distant target groups.
each of them facing different challenges which need to be addressed simultaneously but with adapted approaches.
Staff care’ refers to the actions taken by management to strengthen the wellbeing and resilience of staff,
and ‘self-care’ refers to the actions taken by staff to strengthen themselves.
For practicing self-care, **** staff identifi ed four main fields in the course of the project.
Following a self-care activity plan as part of the organisational activity plans, the four fi elds are addressed constantly
Caring for a healthy lifestyle: For example, to have a healthy breakfast or lunch together in the office, practicing Yoga.
Mastering self-reflection: By using self-reflection (or self-observation)– thinking about what you feel, do, say or think
people become more capable of responding authentically rather than reacting automatically.
This is connected to becoming more conscious about their own reactions and can support a change in attitudes.
****'s staff practices self-refl ection in regular supervision sessions as well as in trainings and coachings.

تعمل فرق ئێمە في خمس مواقع مختلفة, في مدن مختلفة من المنطقة,
بالإضافة إلى إمكانية وصول الفرق المتنقلة إلى المجموعات المستهدفة البعيدة.
يواجه كل من هذه المجموعات تحديات مختلفة يجب معالجتها في وقت واحد ولكن بنهج متوافق مع الحالة.

The pilot will look at the acceptability and effect of a parenting program. Your thoughts and opinion will contribute to new knowledge about parenting, this help us to give better help to other parents.
What does the study involve?
This project aims to evaluate a parenting program. We want to know what’s working and for whom this is suitable for.
We would like to ask you some questions before you start and then ask you the same questions after you finish the program
The NGO will collect and record personal information about you. We would like to ask you about how you manage your emotions, your child`s reaction and behavior and your style of parenting. Staff at JRS might ask the Kindergarten teacher about your child.
Potential advantages, disadvantages and serious adverse events
To our knowledge there is no disadvantages participating in this parenting program. The advantage is to learn parenting skills that support your child`s development you will receive good help.
Voluntary participation
Participation in the study is voluntary. You can withdraw your consent to participate in the pilot at any time and without stating any reason. This will not have any consequences for your further treatment or intervention. If you wish to participate, sign the declaration of consent on the final page.
If you agree to participate in this project, you are entitled to have access to the information registered about you. You are further entitled to correct any mistakes in the information we have registered. If you withdraw from the project, no further information or material will be collected about you or your child. Data that have already been collected and been used to write an article and published cannot unfortunately be deleted (it will remain anonymous).
What will happen to the samples and your personal information?
The data that are registered about you and your child will only be used in accordance with the purpose of the pilot as described above, to develop better help supporting parents at JRS.
