Can anyone help with this term found in the manual for a graffitti removal machine using a mixed high pressure jet of water and inert media. The inert media can either be supplied directly from the machine hopper or, as in the case below, from an external container. I always think of "sonda" as "probe", "sensor" or similar and can't get my head around its meaning here. "Il prodotto inerte può essere aspirato anche da un contenitore esterno utilizzando l' apposita sonda di aspirazione fornita come accessorio optional." Thanks, Sarah.

suction probe
Sonda di aspirazione it's a probe that measures something (the level of pression, or maybe the flow, or temperature) in the suction part of a device.

Sorry, I hit the "submit answer" before the explanation was complete.
Complete explanation:
Sonda di aspirazione it's a probe that measures something (the level of pression, or maybe the flow, or temperature) in the suction part of a device , or, as here, an extension that can be used to suck up parts.

intake/suction nozzle
try this
according to Hoepli technical dict. sonda can be a dredge - a dredge can be a suction nozzle and that is what this is in its context

Sounds like... here is an interesting example:

It may sound a bit too medical but it does exist

the term sonda seems to imply that there is some kind of control, check or measuring [so that the quantity does not exceed a certain amount - grafiti removal machine].
Probe or an inert component name such as tube, inlet, do not seem to convey this.
The above might go in that direction, .

perhaps what does this sonda could be represented with the following denomination : suction injector
