Spanish to English

Hi, I am translating a document which has some pages of a company that specializes in metal fabrication and tanks, especially for service stations and industrial plants, as well as assembling them, and I would appreciate your help.
Context is:
"Además, en xxxxx contamos con un equipo de producción, compuesto por armadores, soldadores y montadores, con una gran experiencia en el sector."
Thanks :)

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your note. I assume that these trades are required for works that are to be done by all sorts of metal workers, possibly inside a factory. With these you would have a specialised group not mentioned in your text. ex. fitter and turners, boilermakers, cutters/profilers, other staff, and so on.
These are the metal workers that will have to make part for the heavy construction in question that weren't mention. ''armadores'' is a very odd term indeed. Maybe you might have to ask for an explanation from the client, whom I assume has a maritime background.
Someone @proz.com might know more about this specific word; other suggestions will come I am sure. Good luck.

Note from asker:
Hi Manuel, not to be a pain, but isn't metwal workers a bit too general or is it actually how they are called in the trade. Also I actually thought that the montadores prepared/built the metal framing, etc. Thanks, I appreciate your input. :) |
