Hola de nuevo!
Un trabajador a honorarios en mi país es alguien que está contratado para una empresa, pero mes a mes hace una "boleta de honorarios" (o boleta de servicios profesionales), es decir, se le paga un sueldo mes a mes, pero no tiene antigüedad laboral y se le puede despedir de un mes a otro sin aviso, ni argumentos. No es freelancer, porque no es independiente, ya que está contratado por la empresa.
¿Cómo quedaría en Inglés?

This is a subtle distinction and I think more one of connotation than denotation, but I think this is better than 'independent contractor' and certainly better than 'freelance' because this meshes well with the idea that this person exclusively works for one company whereas the other two options read a bit strangely with this meaning.
This link confirms my sense that people often use 'contractor' to mean someone who works at only one firm. This is in fact exactly what a friend of mine says, and he works for one company, whereas I say I am an 'independent' translator since I work for many clients. Good luck!
