Since 2008, the main lead recognized on the sparse old vintage 2D seismic data coverage in the shallow water area has been an amplitude anomaly in the Lower Grudja, the so called ‘Tubarao’ Lead’. In June 2013, the Africa Exploration team undertook an updated evaluation work to better define the Tubarao Lead, and to review the potential in the shallow water. The outcomes of this evaluation were that the main Tubarao Lead was downgraded and three other amplitude anomalies, Tubarao East, North and Central were high graded area.
