neutral philgoddard : Loose page is 'página solta'. This is a particular kind of loose page.

Not if I KNOW what it is :-) And i simply answered the question "Sobrecapa Macarrão"
neutral Oliver Simões : A loose page could be an overlay placed inside the book. See https://www.tiktok.com/@acrylipicsbookishnook/video/73174587... Or it could be a page that got dettached. A "sobrecapa", on the other hand, goes over a book cover.

And where did you see any books in my suggestion, Phil? This is an extra cover for newspapers. Unless you decided that dust jackets can only be used in books (?).

loose book-jacket

As indicated in my answer to another question:

sobrecapa: Folha impressa que se sobrepõe à capa de um livro, ger. ilustrada, com material de propaganda e informações sobre a obra nas orelhas. (Aulete)

In this case there is no need to translate the phrase in parentheses. Another option is to translate the phrase in question as:

book-jacket (loose).

Example Sentence

Is the loose book-jacket a successor to the hook-cover, which was glued on to the book itself? https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.4159/harvard.97806...
Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : It"s a newspaper, not a book.

loose additional cover page

See the pictures in my reference entry.

A sobrecapa is an additional cover page. It can be either loose or attached to the rest of the newspaper.

This is not about book jackets.
