Cognitive
Cognitive (or even perceptive) is the proper translation, but is probably not suitable here because the source text is badly formulated (The visually cognitive and aesthetic?).
Personally I would go with 'Visual perception and Aesthetics'
Personally I would go with 'Visual perception and Aesthetics'

I might translate the whole heading as 'The visual experience and aesthetics'
Or 'The visual impression and aesthetics'
- to work in the -mæssige part of the word. An impression might be a bit more airy than an experience. Is there more room for the viewer's imagination than specific experience?
'Oplevelse' is often difficult to translate from Danish into English - and I sometimes use 'perception' or rephrase it altogether. Danes often 'opleve' things that in English one would enjoy or try out, for instance.
But here I think 'visual experience' would work.
