Od "if countersink is not possible..." je začátek nové věty, k tomu se vztahuje to spojování drátem...
Myslím, že předložka "over" je tam chybně. Tu větu zjevně nepsal rodilý mluvčí.

Díky, Peter! kuželově je zbytečné, to je pravda, převzal jsem to ze slovníku. Jedině v německé Wikiopedii je něco o plochých zapuštěních.
