filament

English to Russian Tech/Engineering Military / Defense
Another aspect of the Quad gas meter is that sensors can be purchased for de-tection of a particular gas or vapor. The sensors that come with the monitor and are the most popular are hydrogen sulfide, which is a toxic gas that has an odor of rotten eggs, and carbon monox-ide which has no odor or color.Readings for these sensors are given in parts per million and are designed to alert the first responder at levels below concentrations considered dangerous.
Method:
***A filament called a “Wheatstone Bridge” in the sensor burns the gas on its surface***.
