German term
Betriebsparallel
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Automation & Robotics
Simulation
Context:
"Betriebsparallele Simulationsanwendungen"
I can find plenty of instances of "parallel simulation applications", but nothing that really includes operation or anything else to account for "Betriebs-". Does that suffice?

synchronous
"Synchronous simulation applications" MIGHT suffice according to http://portal.mytum.de/schwarzesbrett/diplomarbeiten/news_ar...

There are two common designs for sequential simulators of parallel systems. One is a synchronous simulation, which mimics the real system by maintaining a global clock and simulating the actions of the nodes in "lock-step." ..."

Another term that springs to mind is "in-process" although I am by no means sure if it is appropriate in this context.

Note from asker:
Thanks, that definitely seems to be exactly the right broader context :-) |

parallel operation
In English I would say *Simulation applications of parallel-operating [systems]* - by I may be wrong - the simulated systems operate in parallel (in real life) - or the simulations are run in parallel ?
Discussion
"und die Auswahl einer dazu passenden betriebs- und anlagenspezifischen Simulationsanwendung ermöglicht."
http://www.opportuno.de/stellenangebote/1220195.html
*...bietet der Betrieb von Simulationsmodellen zeitlich parallel zu Maschinen und Anlagen ...
So I guess that the simulation(s) are operated (Betrieb-ed in Englisch :-) ) in parallel - as far as I understand teh German language.
