Group image

After looking at the websites below, I think -- unless an expert in psychology can provide an "official" term -- that group image or group snapshot is the best choice. In one of the descriptions provided, the members of the group introduce themselves in round robin fashion and add something personal about themselves beyond their names; however, from that context I understand the term to refer not to the process of introducing themselves, but to the chart that results from that.

Also, while group mirror would seem to be an acceptable choice, I don't know if it would be easily understood without a definition. I couldn't find any google hits to back that context up, most of them were dealing with computers. Group image or snapshot might be more easily understood without additional explanation.

Hope this helps!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Wow this one got you all talking! I googled but all I got was "This group mirror that population", I also found a business game expert and called him. He told me there's no way they call it "group mirror" but he couldn't give a better word. I decided on "group snapshot" but it was really close between that and "group introduction"."

Used in this sense for example in a description of 'getting to know each other' games.

group introduction

From the first link below (explaining what a 'Gruppenspiegel' is):

Sounds like 'group introduction' to me:

on second thought...

after rereading my response, and your question (!), if a group exercise or game is involved, perhaps "Group Mirror" is the right choice
This website describes a game for building community called "Group Mirror" in which one person stands in front of the group and the rest of the people in the group must "mirror" his actions.
It seems to me that such a game could be adapted to a business training context.
