Zur Aufrechterhaltung ungekürzter Ansprüche auf Arbeitslosengeld sind Sie verpflichtet, sich unverzüglich nach Abschluss des Dienstaufhebungsvertrages persönlich beim Arbeitsamt arbeitssuchend zu melden. Sofern das Arbeitsverhältnis noch länger als 3 Monate bestehet, ist eine Meldung 3 Monate vor Beendigung ausreichend.

Is that not derogatory? While signing on is certainly the most commonly used phrase, it is not the official term. At least up here in Scotland, it has a distinct derogatory connotation. Maybe that's different south of the border. Having said that, it will certainly depend on the context which the asker has not provided...
