This looks like it should be easy, I'm just not sure how to translate "Abstand" here.

Discussion
The heading of the section is "Aeroelastische Stabilität" and it goes on to talk about "Flattern und Divergieren" of the blade. Apart from that I don't have much more context for this particular sentence.
