Discussion

Sabine Griebler (asker) Apr 30, 2007:
A ridge is a raised portion, isn't it? A "Kanal" is a recess. I have also found tensioning groove, but only in connection with printing cylinders or loudspeakers.
Ingeborg Gowans (X) Apr 30, 2007:
I would go with ridge; but not sure, don't want to post it as an answer (yet) will look at some google ex.
