directly proportional -- inversely proportional
The definition of a directly proportional relationship is that the quotient remains the same (Quotientengleichheit). Similarly, the definition of an inversely proportional relationship is that the product remains the same (Produktgleichheit).

proportional / non-proportional
In Class 7, they look at equal ratios e.g. 2/1 = 6/3 = 10/5. These result in linear graphs through the origin [points being e.g. (1,2) (3,6) (5,10) on line y=2x].
That's then extended to linear graphs that do not go through the origin [points being e.g. (1,3) (3,7) (5, 11) on line y=2x+1].

Maybe it depends on the context but the following is a typical extract from a Klasse 7 syllabus and it's definitely talking about linear (and not inverse) functions

: And where does produktgleich come in? It's definitely not non-proportional (in which case nothing would be gleich).
