German term

v. S.

German to English Medical Medical: Health Care Bodyplethysmographie + Spirometrie
Rtot 0.3 kPa*s/l, FEV1/IVC 90 %, FEV1 3.7 l (99 % ***v. S.***), TLC 91 % ***v. S.***, IVC 92 % ***v. S.***

I saw it as vS before as well. I am not sure what it means.

Any suggestions?

wir brauchen Mediziner hier

FEV could be "forced expiratory volume" to help you along but without more context, very hard to say what the rest means

we need morecontext to decipher this

Lung function results are reported as absolute values in litres, and as a percentage of predicted values based on age, height, sex and ethnicity. Studies have been carried out on a large population of white people to determine the reference range of results. A correction factor can be applied to the spirometry machine for different ethnic groups. This is because their predicted results may differ from the standard predicted values (Pellegrino et al, 2005; Hankinson et al, 1999).

COPD can be diagnosed only if FEV1 <80% predicted and FEV1/FVC <0.7 (70%)
The severity of the airflow obstruction in COPD is indicated by the extent of FEV1 reduction
