German term

Ausfertigung vs. Abschrift

German to English Law/Patents SAP Archiving
Der Abruf einer *Urkunde* soll unabhängig von der ursprünglichen Dokumentensignatur durch den beurkundenden Notar Grundlage einer *Ausfertigung* oder beglaubigten Abschrift der Urkunde sein.

Bearing in mind the context (legal document security for a planned electronic archive) is there a way to distinguish between the bove two concepts - normally I would have used 'copy' for both

neutral mary austria : Abschrift is copy. Beglaubigte Abschrift is certified copy. Please correct in case an entry is made in the glossary.

(... basis for issuance of / issuing) the certificate or a certified copy of it

Maybe this is a way to solve it, by using "issue".

I also thought of "duplicate" for "Ausfertigung", but from the sentence it is not clear whether it is actually a second copy or not.
