bossing around/ordering around

"As I have posted on before, the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution officially outlaws slavery and involuntary
servitude, EXCEPT as punishment for a crime.
OK, so technically they 'nationalized' the slave trade and banned
the private ownership of slaves.
I've also posted on the criminalization of normal human behaviors
as an effort to keep prisons filled with cheap labor.
Now, with the rapid and profitable privatization of prisons all
across America, we are very very close to being back where we
started.
Corporations owning/leasing human laborers."

"A condition of compulsory service or labor performed by one person, against his will, for the benefit of another person due to force, threats, intimidation or other similar means of coercion and compulsion directed against him."
http://www.lectlaw.com/def/i071.htm
"The Thirteenth Amendment makes involuntary servitude unlawful whether the compulsion is by a government or by a private person. The penalty for violation of the amendment must be prescribed by law. Although the principal purpose of the amendment was to abolish African slavery, it also abolished other forms of compulsory labor similar to slavery, no matter what they are called. For example, it abolished bond service and peonage, forms of compulsory service based on a servant's indebtedness to a master."

Szemlátomást ez a szokásos ekvivalens. "Csicskáztatás" nem szleng már.

Note from asker:
Szerintem a csicskáztatás - amint a vitafórumba is beírtam - továbbra is szleng, attól függetlenül, hogy milyen gyakran használja a média vagy a közbeszéd. A magyar jogi fogalom, amely ezt lefedi: rabszolgatartás, esetleg - enyhébb formában - személyi szabadság korlátozása. |
A zsargon, a szleng és a tolvajnyelv (argó) közötti különbséget szépen elmagyarázza ez a cikk: http://www.englishproject.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=122:prison-lingo-the-language-of-the-prison-community&catid=10:articles-a-talks&Itemid=196 |

modern day slavery

to work sy like a Hebrew slave
Esetleg ez megfelelhet, ez tuti szleng:
work me like a Hebrew slave: a Black expression emphasizing forced labor in prison, and the condition of captivity, referencing the ancient tribulations of the Jews in Egypt under the Pharaoh.

A "slavery" nem annyira szlenges, főként szexuális vonatkozású:
Prisoner-prisoner relationships
According to Human Rights Watch in a 2001 report, sexual slavery frequently poses as a consensual sexual relationship. Rape victims are often intimidated into feigning consent to sexual activity, to the point of becoming "slaves" and the figurative property of their rapists. This occurs in both male and female prisons.
Prospective slaveholders will sometimes use intimidating innuendo, as opposed to overt threats of violence, which the prospective slave unwillingly accepts, thereby disguising even from the enslaver the coercive nature of the sexual activity. Slaves might not even see themselves as being coerced, if the enslavement is negotiated as repayment for a debt. Also, some consider themselves transformed into a homosexual. The report tells the story of an inmate coerced in this way. It is argued that in prison, consent is inherently illusory.
...
In many cases among men, the partner who penetrates another sexually is not regarded as homosexual among fellow inmates, and the receptive partner (who may or may not be consenting) is called a "woman", a "bitch", a "punk", or a "prag", and is regarded as homosexual, even when he is not.
...
There have been instances of non-sexual prison slaves, who are forced into subservience through general intimidation.

Hogy kerül ide a műveltek nyelve, a szalonképesség? Mit takar a metaforikus "felszivárgás". Szerintem a rendőreink a tanyán látott jelenségre a fegyőröktől tanult szót kezdték használni (ekkor a szó már egyfajta szakszó), tőlük megtanulták a bűnügyi tudósítók (eleinte "idézet a rendőr interjúalanytól" formájában, később saját szavukként), s a szó általánosan elterjedt.

csicska: bitch
csicskáztat: bitch someone around
