Swedish term

bortköp

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Human Resources
The following line appears in an employment contract:

"Bortköp övertid/restid"

Is this some sort of deduction? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wild guess, maybe some sort of settlement. I suggest asking the author what he means, perhaps 'kvittning'.

buy-out / purchase in lieu

A guess -I think it means that the company pays a fixed lump sum in lieu of reimbursing individual overtime or travelling time. In other words, they are "buying out" these expenses, probably to avoid fiddly and administration.

But just a guess, and George's answer strikes me as good.
