I work as a full-time English<>Spanish freelance translator and I have 9 years of experience in the field.

    I hold a BA in translation, a Postgraduate
Degree in Legal English, a Master's Degree in Medical Translation, and I am
currently enrolled in the first-ever Diploma in Medical Translation,
by Pablo Mugüerza Peker.

    I also provide my services to Alianza Cultural
Uruguay-Estados Unidos, translating letters and documentation
regarding scholarships into English.

    I have been working as a freelance translator since 2015, and since 2017, I have been working for Fox & Lapenne, one of the most prestigious law firms in Uruguay, where I mostly translate patents in the field of medicine/pharmacology. The documents received are issued by the World
Intellectual Property Organization, and my translations are filed before
various offices in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, among others.

    I provide machine translation post-editing services from English into Spanish since
2018, and I have also worked as a consecutive interpreter at
business meetings for CASMU, the leading private health care
institution in Uruguay; NetCann, top-quality cannabis innovator for
health care, Canada Immigration and citizenship, and more.

    I am part of several organizations related to the field of translation, such as the Association of Translators of Uruguay, I will soon be a member of Tremédica and I am part of Club de los Grandes Traductores, a group of colleagues from all over the world where we share advice, experiences and we support each other in our work. Within the Club, there is constant training for translators in all areas, and I love to keep up to date with current issues that are relevant to our industry.

In August 2023 I obtained my Diploma in AI for translators, an incredible and eye-opening training!

And finally, I can't leave aside my humanistic side coming from the arts, as I studied Fine Arts and ceramics, as well as translation courses in literature for children and young adults. In 2023 I translated a book by an Uruguayan author into English, and in January 2024, it was already on sale in bookstores. This was, without a doubt, a very enriching experience.
