Spanish term

y lo capturo sin contemplaciones

Spanish to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature Literature.
I would like to know the best translation of this phrase from Latin American Spanish into American English. Translator colleagues from Spain, feel free to send me your suggestions as well. This is a translation about the story of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves.

Is okay to translate it as" and they caught him without remorse?

Here is the full paragraph for your review:

Sin detenerse un instante, Semes se colocó frente a la cueva y dijo las palabras que Alí Babá le había contado, al instante, mientras la puerta se abría, la guardia se abalanzó sobre Semes gritando «¡Al ladrón!» y lo capturó sin contemplaciones, aunque Semes intentó explicarles porque estaba allí, estos no le creyeron porque estaban convencidos de que el último ladrón sabiendo que sus compañeros estaban presos, inventaría cualquier cosa para poder disfrutar él solo del botín

agree Adrian MM. : assuming this asker hasn't exceed her fair quota of queries asked. // I thought there was a ProZ limit on the number of questions asked by a single translator or interpreter.

Peer comment(s):

agree Marcelo González : or 'without further ado,' which is how I recall hearing this phrase back in the day in New Jersey, where I think I may have even heard it being said 'with no further ado' (though I wasn't able to find any G-hits for it, interestingly enough)
