Hello!!
I need some help translating the above term into legal English.. It is found in a petition for divorce and I'm really struggling to find a suitable translation for "medidadas coetánas"
Here's my attempt:
PETITION FOR CONTENTIOUS DIVORCE WITH INTERNATIONAL ELEMENT AND AND SIMULTANEOUS MEASURES.
Thanks!!

I can only be sure of the first part "contested dissolution of marriage". The part in [brackets] is my own attempt. The term "medidas coetáneas" could be short for "medidas cautelares coetáneas" which seems to be some type of relief, but I'm only guessing. Hopefully someone will shed some light on this term.
I wouldn't use "international" for "extranjero" unless you're sure it is what it is.

Note from asker:
That's very helpful. Though would it be wrong to say contentious divorce? I would be interested to know as I've translated it as such throughout the rest of the document. Thanks! |
Thank you for the explanation. That's a great help!! |
