Danish term

indkøring

Danish to English Tech/Engineering Medical: Pharmaceuticals Pill manufacturing
In a letter where a client is requesting raw materials supposedly for a trial run of pill production:

"Såfremt vi kan få de tidligere recepter og produktionsforskrifter udleveret, så burde tabletten kunne indkøres på første forsøg, hvilket ville gøre indkøringen af produktet en del hurtigere, og kræve en mindre mængde aktive råvarare.

Discussion

David Rumsey (asker) Oct 21, 2005:
Review the context Although the dictionaries translate this term as "run in". That term doesn't seem to fit the context of the sentence. I am thinking "indkring" could more likely be "creating".

introduction

Indkøring is used a lot - more or less literally or metaphorically.

Here I might use 'introduce' which is similarly widely used.

Just one more thought. I have agreed with Christine's answer because run-in as you mentioned is the translated word for indkøring, but I cannot see how that fits into your text.
