I am a trilingual translator currently based in France. I
decided to become a translator as I have always been interested in foreign
languages. Actually, I am a native speaker of French and German and I have a
very good command of English. I hold a Master’s degree in international
careers with a linguist-lawyer specialty (Foreign Applied Languages).
Undertaking this Master has allowed me to gain a very good command of business
German, business English and international trade law. Completing this degree
also enabled me to get the required translation methods and techniques that are
used by professional translators. Furthermore, I have completed a Master’s degree
in European politics with a specialty in the Franco-German cooperation and a
post graduate International Master in European studies to deepen my knowledge
about European project funding. My previous positions have enabled me to
acquire considerable experience in international environments as well as in the
language and/or translation field. From 2011 to 2013, I was employed as an adviser
in the CGT trade union where I had to monitor and analyse the legal and
political developments of European social current events. My tasks also
included providing simultaneous interpretation from German to French at a
Franco-German trade union meeting and translating powerpoint presentations into
the same languages. Further to this, I have carried out an internship at the
Representation office of the Languedoc-Roussillon Region in Brussels where a
large part of my work entailed reporting on meetings and conferences organised
by European institutions, regional offices and think-tanks. Speaking and
understanding English was a prerequisite for carrying out this internship. I could also develop solid computer skills and
I work with SDL Trados Studio. Please, do not hesitate to contact me for
further information.
