What kind of videos you can do?

Instructional videos

"How to" or tutorial videos. You can demonstrate software usage, show translation in action, use online resources for translators, etc. A common pratice to create instructional videos is to capture voice and screen activity. This can be done with screen and audio capture software like Camstudio (free), or other similar software. Lecture videos

This type of video consist of presentations on different topics, like marketing for translators, PM, getting started in translation business, etc. These videos can also be created with screen capture software (Camstudio), or the presenter may want to film him/herself delivering the presentation - this can be done with a regular webcam or camcorder and a microphone. For the first type (screen capture) ProZ.com offers the service of doing the screen and voice capture for you.

Webinar + video

If suitable, presenters can choose to deliver the presentation in real time to a real audience through web based meeting software in the format of a webinar. For this you should propose a webinar session, interested students will register and attend, you will conduct the session in real time, and ProZ.com staff will record (capture screen and audio) your presentation to make a video for sale on demand. Process step-by-step

1. Agreement. Read and accept the tems and conditions.
2. Submit program and content. Create the session program and upload the video - there are specfic guidelines to help you creating the video.
3. Vetting. Your program and content are vetted by site staff (stage 4). ProZ.com sets up registration and starts promoting and selling your video.
4. Payment. ProZ.com will monthly update you on royalties generated from video sales.


Payment

Trainer will receive a revenue share update at the end of each month which will include the details for video sales and amount owed to trainer from ProZ.com.

Revenue share payments are not made until the end of each quarter (unless amount owed at the end of any given month exceeds $500USD, in which case an invoice request will be sent to trainer).

  • Trainer receives 50% of all Gross Sales for a period of 365 days from first publish date.*
  • Trainer receives 10% of all video Gross Sales in perpetuity after the first 365 days from publish.*
